Advanced PowerPoint Session 1

This two-session class in Advanced PowerPoint, the participants will develop a web-based presentation to sell a product. The participants will work through the AutoContent Wizard's built-in content to sell the product. PowerPoint tools will be used to refine the presentation. Session two will be offered on Friday, October 17.

This class consists of two sessions. A roadmap to searching for materials, information, and events on aadl.org. Participants will discover a variety of hidden gems within the site including: the advantage of using My Account for placing holds, how to navigate the research tab, and how and why to tag items. Session two will be offered on Thursday, October 30.

Keyboarding Lab

Keyboarding labs are for people would like to practice their keyboarding skills. A staff person will be on-hand to answer questions and provide resources to guide practice. Labs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.

Excel Basics Session 1

This class consists of two sessions. Learn the fundamentals of a worksheet and how it can work for you. Learn how to format a cell and add data. Find out what a worksheet is to a workbook. Session two will be offered on Friday, November 7.

Intermediate Excel Session 1

After a review of Excel's introductory concepts, dig a little deeper into complex formulas, absolute referencing and predictable features. Learn how Excel works for you. Session 2 will be held Friday, November 14. Register online or call 327.4560.

Beginning Email Session 1

Monday November 17, 2008: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm -- West Branch: Training Lab

Participants will learn basic functions of email through creating an account in class. They will establish a username and password, recieve an overview of the various functions of email, and practice reading, writing, and sending an email. Part two will be offered Tuesday, November 18. For further practice, a Beginning Email Lab is scheduled on a date following this class. Labs are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited.

The Beginning Email Lab is for anyone who has questions about basic email functions, who is new to using email and needs practice or who needs help setting up an email account. The Lab is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited.
