To Cyndi Solski of Ann Arbor, Halloween means pumpkins and jack-o'-lanterns and friends. A week before Halloween, Solski throws a pumpkin carving party. She goes to a farm and picks about 50 pumpkins. On party night, tables are spread with newspaper, hot cider is put on the stove and the fun begins. Above, Solski sits in her living room with recently carved pumpkins casting an eerie glow. Top, an entire station wagon of pumpkins waits to be carved. Right, the final result, a house that could give even the most ardent trick or treater a chill up the spine. See it for yourself by driving past 827 W. Huron St. in Ann Arbor.
