As the Goss family of Ann Arbor nears the end of a canoe trip, Cindy Goss points out the boat landing to her paddling husband, Greg. Also aboard are their children, 3-year-old Greg II, left, and Alyssa, 5. They were participating in Huron River Day activities Sunday at Ann Arbor's Gallup Park. Meanwhile, Joseph Starcher, 11, of Ann Arbor, a contestant in the youth fishing derby, takes a bass he caught in the Huron to be measured (14 inches) and weighed (1 1/2 pounds).
