Blast Off On 'Bikathon' With a few whoops and hollers from friends, Steve Markham, 16, of 3016 Brockman sets off on the start of what he and three other youths hope will be a bicycle endurance record ride of 200 hours. If the goal is reached, the around-the-clock ride which began at 4 p.m. yesterday will end at midnight next Saturday. Steven and the other youths -- Larry Olson, 15, of 2424 Shannondale; Frank Wright, 16, of 1253 Highland, and Jon Helms, 16, of 410 Highland -- will be taking turns circling a one-mile course on Geddes Ave. and adjoining residential streets. They plan to make any necessary repairs on the 25-speed racing bike "on the fly" in their attempt to surpass a record of 192 consecutive hours which they said is held by 14 Chicago youths.
