Fire "Graveyard": In observance of the current Fire Prevention Week members of the Ann Arbor Fire Department have erected a symbolic "graveyard" at the new west side station on Jackson Ave. Chief Ernest Heller (left) stands between two "tombstones" which tell of foolish practices which annually injure and kill thousands of persons. Lt. George F. Hastings (center), commander of the west side station, and Fire Marshal John R. Williams stand near a cross listing the estimated annual fire loss within the Ann Arbor city limits.
