LOST SAVINGS RESTORED: Police Lt. William E. Hitchingham zips the $12,180 contents of a handbag belonging to Mrs. Rachel Ripperton (center) into a money-pouch for temporary safe-keeping in the police department vault. Mrs. Ripperton, a visitor from Three Rivers, lost the handbag yesterday near the Ann Arbor Armory. The bag, containing the entire proceeds from the recent sale of the owner's farm, was picked up and turned over to police by Mrs. Laura B. Naylor, of 3960 Pontiac Trail. Right is Mrs. Martin Jensen, a neighbor of Mrs. Ripperton's, who drove the elderly women to Ann Arbor.
