North Campus Progress: The rapid expansion of the University's North Campus building program is shown in this air photo. Toward the rear, the $1,850,000 Automotive Engineering Laboratory is rising from the ground, at the left is the $1,500,000 Phoenix Memorial Laboratory which will be used for atomic energy research. In the foreground is the $500,000 Library Stack Unit, which is practically completed. The building in the center, the Mortimer E. Cooley Engineering Building, has been in use for more than a year.
