It isn't hard to keep a group of seven children happy when they have valentines to look at and good things to eat. The above children, members of the Ann Allen Society of the Children of the American Revolution, were entertained yesterday afternoon at a Valentines party given by 21-month-old Barbara Jean Hanson (aided and abetted by her mother, Mrs. Richard F. Hanson of Pinewood Ave., of course). Pictured in contented repose (for the time being) are (left to right) Robert Brent Beebe, 11-month-old-son of Mrs. Austin H. Beebe, jr. of Dexter Rd.; Susan Elizabeth Kagay, five years old, whose mother, Mrs. John J. Kagay of Columbia Ave., is regent of Sarah Caswell Chapter, DAR; Barbara Jean (the hostess); Russell Ralph Allen, 17-month-old son of Mrs. Ralph Allen of Pittsfield Village; Bert Lawrence Karl Heideman, two years old, son of Mrs. Bert Heideman, senior president of the Ann Allen Society; three-year-old Frances Ann Jobes, daughter of Mrs. Frank W. Jobes, senior state Red Cross chairman and state promoter for the CAR; and five-year-old Lane Maxwell Allen, who is Russell Ralph's brother. Not shown in the picture is the junior president of the Ann Allen Society, Caryl Ann Stuhrberg, daughter of Mrs. Carl H. Stuhrberg of Harding Rd., a director of the Angell Chapter.
