Lessons learned in pre-camp sessions were and are being put to use at Linden Site and at Cedar Lake. The Girl Guides and, perhaps, some of their American hostesses, too, learned (right) how to do a fancy job of camp cooking and how to set up a Chippewa table [this photo]. And, of course, all hands take part in or watch (at left) the daily raising and lowering of the American, Indian, and Girl Scout flags. In addition (left to right at bottom of page) there are such things as using the specially made wash stand; the surprising fun of taking an outdoor shower via the use of a canvas screen, a milk can of water, and a tippy pail; the chore of straightening out a mess-cupboard shelf, and the learning of lashing tricks from Miss Caleb. The camp pictures were made at primitive Linden Site, now in the second year of use since being acquired by the Huron Valley council.
