SCHOOL HOUSEWORK: It takes a giant-size vacuum cleaner to tackle a giant-size cleaning job. Custodian Clifford Bryant vacuums a heating vent (above) at Dicken Elementary School which, like all Ann Arbor Public Schools, is being readied for the opening of classes in three weeks. Custodians are kept busy all summer thoroughly refurbishing the schools. Among the numerous little jobs is the polishing of metal work and the cleaning of doors as is being done (at right) by James Anderson, also working at Dicken School.
