David Launstein, a fourth grader at Carpenter Elementary School, prepares for the Ann Arbor public schools' Annual Youth Art Exhibit being held at the University of Michigan Rackham Building. The show will open from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and then will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily except Sunday through June 6. More than 1,000 pieces of art work by Ann Arbor public school students will be on display. The art show is sponsored by the Ann Arbor Art Association. (News photo by Jack Stubbs)
