Already in use is this new one-story Stone School at Packard and Stone School Rds. in Pittsfield township. The exterior of the cinder-block building is shown at top and the kindergarten classroom is pictured at bottom. Designed by Walter T. Anicka, Ann Arbor architect, the building cost $90,000, financed by a bond issue approved last March by voters of Stone School District No. 7-fractional. A feature of the modern kindergarten room is that all furnishings are scaled to the size of the little pupils who use them. The door at right leads to the kindergarten washroom where all bath equipment is built in miniature. The new school is on the land where previous Stone schools have stood for the past 125 years.
