Description

The Children's Aid looks after youngsters who have been left stranded by misfortune or tragedy, finding homes for those left without shelter and kindly family comfort.

Hearts go out to little children who are bereft by illness, misfortune, or death of the loving care and the home shelter they once knew. But too often those who if they knew would gladly give help in such tragedies go their comfortable ways ignorant and unheeding of the woes and distress that call to them from their own community. The Children's Aid looks after unfortunate children. It finds homes for them -- sometimes boarding homes, sometimes permanent homes where they can live happy, normal lives. All residents can help in the work of the Children's Aid by contributing to the Community Fund.

The Children's Aid receives support with 10 other local agencies from the Ann Arbor Community fund. The campaign to fill this fund so that all the agencies may work effectively during the coming year is on this week. All in Ann Arbor who would aid old or young -- including children such as little one shown in the picture -- are given this opportunity to contribute. The solicitors try to reach all who are of good heart and will, but if they miss you, your contribution can be sent direct to the Community Fund, Chamber of Commerce building.
