NORTHFIELD MAN BAGS HUGE RABBIT: Merle Kern route 2, Ann Arbor is shown with the nine and a quarter pound rabbit he shot on the opening day of the season on his Northfield Church Rd. farm. The rabbit measures 36 inches from the nose to the tip of its hind feet. Some of the hunters who have seen it believe it is justa. freak, others are convinced it is a Canadian Jack or a cross-breed of some kind. Anyway, it's much larger than the rabbits usually found in this part of Michigan.
