C. M. Pelto, Ann Arbor's city champion shown at the left above, came through his opening round match in the Michigan novice tennis tournament this morning by beating Jim Friedberg of Jackson. Pelto is shown comparing racquets with Dick Glomski of Alpena, who represented Bay City in the tournament. Glomski was eliminated this morning by Byron Chanter of Jackson.
