The apricot tree in the enclosed garden of the Michigan League has the reputation of being always the first of the fruit trees to blossom in Ann Arbor. It has the additional distinction of a pictorial silhouette, whether covered thickly with soft white flowers as today or with the leafless branches of winter, it is a subject worthy of an artist's study in the Oriental manner.
