Thomas M. Cooley Fountain - Between N. University Ave. and Palmer Dr., across from the Burton Memorial Tower and adjacent to the Michigan League. (1940) "The fountain depicts Triton, the Greek god of the sea, frolicking in the waves with his children. It was a gift from Charles Baird in honor of former law professor and Dean Thomas Cooley. The fountain was created by famous sculptor Carl Milles and is titled Sunday Morning in Deep Water. For decades, students called it “Ye Gods and Little Fishes.” - University of Michigan
