Freshmen Given Instructions

Fresmen Given Instructions: Some 2,300 of the estimated 4,800 freshmen who will enroll at the University for the fall term receive orientation information during a sessions this morning in Hill Auditorium. Some 1,500 transfer students from other colleges and universities filed into the auditorium for orientation instructions after the freshmen left. About 2,500 freshmen previously went through orientation during the U-M's Summer Orientation Program which began early in the summer term. A record number of 30,900 resident credit students, an increase of 1,800 over last fall, are expected to begin classes next Monday.
