WORK AHEAD FOR ROBERT: All University freshmen will find out during their orientation program what courses they will take in the opening semester of their school year. For Robert Essig, Dowagiac freshman, the schedule for the semester and for the ensuing terms looks like work with a capital W. Robert plans to become an electrical engineer. He will have to take courses in mathematics, chemistry, engineering drawing, physics, engineering mechanics, civil engineering and mechanical engineering as well as several specialized courses in electrical engineering. Besides these technical subjects, Robert will have some courses in English and economics and may undertake studies in other non-engineering subjects.
