Parades Are For Children: Thousands of children, of all ages, lined the 1.2-mile route of Ypsilanti's parade yesterday while hundreds more took part in the silver anniversary march sponsored by American Legion Post 282. This float carried virtually the entire membership of Cub Scout Pack No. 89, of Ypsilanti's Brown Chapel AME Church. It was one of seven Scout units in the traditional Fourth of July parade. This float was decorated with various Cub emblems.
