Ten-year-old Dorian Deaver sold $1,020 worth of mints in the YM-YWCA "Earn Your Way to Camp" sale, taking top salesman prize of a new sleeping bag. The son of Mr. and Mrs. George Deaver of 1610 Pontiac was one of 136 area youngsters who earned a total of $4,923 toward their camp tuition, selling an average of 90 boxes apiece. Tanya Maslak, 8, and Michael Maslak Jr., 11, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Maslak Sr. of 754 Archwood, took top prizes in their age groups by selling 312 and 696 boxes of mints apiece, respectively, and David Young, son of Mrs. Doris Young of 907 Hutchins sold 360 boxes to win first place in the 9-10 year olds category. The three were awarded cameras. Gross mint sales totaled $12,308 this year - more than double the $5,894 earned last year. Many of the participants are also paying the way of friends.
