A marsh sink-hole swallowed a large section of the new roadway being constructed for US-23 near Hartland, yesterday afternoon, claiming the life of a worker, Ariel Albright, 24. The cave-in left the gap shown in the above photograph, 123 feet long, 82 feet wide and 40 feet deep in the elevated road.
