CRASH KILLS YOUTH: Sixteen-year-old James Hagerman of 1508 Marlboro Dr. was killed and a companion, Walter Seeger, 18, of 305 Pauline Blvd., was seriously injured in this car (top) when it slammed head-on into a truck loaded with steel last night on US-12, two miles west of Ann Arbor. Sheriff's deputies today could not determine which of the two youths was driving the car, owned by young Hagerman. The truck (bottom), carrying a load of coiled spring steel, was literally splintered by the impact. Its driver, Wilson Eggleston, 26, of Lincoln Park, escaped with only a minor hand injury.
