The Omalwale Cultural Society performs an African dance at Ann Arbor's Forsythe Middle School Wednesday at an assembly marking Black History Month. The dancing and drumming troupe is sponsored by the Nigerian government for the purpose of cultural preservation. The group travels around the world performing and recruits dancers not just from West Africa but from the United States as well. (Ann Arbor News, February 13, 1992)
