Director's Notes Eterived from a historical murder case in early 19th century Germany, uwoyzeck" is a play dealing with the aberrations of mental illness. The play castigates class oppression as a societal evil; it also sheds light on our human condition. It projects an image of the suffering individual, and that individual's potential for transcendence. --Simon C.M.
