Mrs. Mary L. Ayres
Chelsea, March 21—Mrs. Mary Lightner Ayres, 87, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. L. Bradbury in Lima township. She was born Oct. 13, 1844, in Pennsylvania, and was married in 1866, to James Erwin Ayres, who died in 1922. She had been a resident of Lima since 1919, and was a member of Methodist church.
She is survived by a son, Daniel E. of Scotts Bluff, Neb., a daughter, Mrs. Bradbury of Lima township, a sister, Miss Elizabeth Lightner of Harrisburg, Pa., 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bradbury. Rev. Andrew E. Kurth of Detroit, formerly of Lima and Ann Arbor, officiated, and burial was in Parkers cemetery.
