Aubrey W. Martin, professor of voice at Hillsdale college and a concert baritone singer, died suddenly here this morning.
He suffered a heart attack or stroke about 12:45 this morning while attending a meeting at Phi Mu Alpha fraternity following attendance at the Boston Symphony orchestra concert in Hill auditorium last night. He was taken to St. Joseph's Mercy hospital, where he died at 5:20.
He had appeared with the New York Symphony orchestra and had made several concert tours. He was past president of Phi Mu Alpha Symphonia, honorary music fraternity, and was a member of its executive board.
