Jacob Waltz

MANCHESTER—Jacob Waltz, 84, died last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Buccos, 315 Ferris St., Ypsilanti. He was born in Wuerttemberg, Germany, Dec., 11, 1851, and was the son of Francis and Barbara Mayer Waltz. He came to this country with his parents when three months old. They settled in Freedom township.

He was married March 14, 1878, to Anna Binder, who died May 1, 1914. He had resided the last 12 years with his daughter.

He is survived by two sons, Charles of Manchester, and Walter of Whitmore Lake; the one daughter in Ypsilanti; a grandson, Richard Peter Buccos; a sister, Mrs. Adena Kern of Jackson; also several nieces and nephews. Another daughter died in childhood.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Tuesday morning from the home of the daughter, Mrs. Buccos, Ypsilanti. Further services will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Jenter funeral home in Manchester. Rev. Hugo Fenker of Ypsilanti will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the home in Ypsilanti.
