Miss Aura M. Miller, 1136 Prospect St., member of a prominent Ann Arbor family, died Tuesday in Columbia, Mo., where she was visiting her brother, Dr. Walter Miller, widely known educator, and head of the Latin department of the University of Missouri.

Miss Miller who was about 70 years old, was daughter of the late Samuel G. Miller who sponsored the Miller addition to the city of Ann Arbor. This is the Eberbach school section.

She received her bachelor’s degree in 1890, her master’s degree in 1897, and doctor of philosophy degree in 1902 from the University of Michigan. She was a Phi Beta Kappa. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Miller, who is also a Michigan alumnus and a former member of the University faculty. He received an honorary degree from the University in 1932. He was an instructor in Greek on the faculty in 1886-1887, instructor in Latin in 1888, and assistant professor of Latin in 1888-1889.

The body of Miss Miller will arrive in Ann Arbor tomorrow for funeral services at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Graham funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Dr. William P. Lemon will officiate.
