Mrs. E. F. Woodard
SOUTH LYON – Mrs. E. F. Woodard, 86 years old, wife of the last surviving member of the G. A. R. post here, died yesterday at her home on Reese St.
Mrs. Woodard formerly was Miss Sarah Crossman. She was born Feb. 25, 1852, in Ingham county, and she was married to Edwin F. Woodard on Sept. 14, 1874. They came to South Lyon 32 years ago, and a year later purchased the home on Reese St. Mrs. Woodard had been in good health until recently and was active in the Presbyterian church here.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. John Myatt, of Saginaw and Mrs. Wellington White and Mrs. Arthur White, both of Howell; and three grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Phillips funeral home here. Rev. H. B. Wimberley officiating, and interment will be in the South Lyon cemetery.
