Mrs. O. F. Winton Dies At Residence

Mrs. Libbie W. Winton, wife of Rev. O. F. Winton, retired Methodist minister, died this morning at the family residence at 1305 Baldwin Ave., after a brief illness.
She was born July 11, 1854, in Lenawee county, and was married Dec. 31, 1878, in Franklin, Mich., to Rev. Mr. Winton. Their sixtieth wedding anniversary occurred Saturday but the planned celebration was not held because of the illness of both Rev. and Mrs. Winton. Rev. Mr. Winton still is ill with a cold.
Rev. Mr. Winton entered the Methodist ministry in the fall after their marriage and subsequently they lived in Milan, Milford, Romeo, St. Clair, Norway, Pickford and Fowlerville, during his 40 years of active service in the ministry.
Rev. and Mrs. Winton moved to Ann Arbor in 1916, and lived for a number of years on Thayer St., moving to the Baldwin Ave. address in December, 1936.
She is survived by her husband; a son, James C. Winton of Ann Arbor; a granddaughter, Mrs. A. H. McGee of Jackson; and a brother, Howard Marshall McCollum of Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Dolph funeral home, where friends may call. Rev. Addie Leeson of the Methodist Old Peoples' home in Chelsea, will officiate, assisted by Dr. Charles W. Brashares. Burial will be made in Clinton, Mrs. Winton's childhood home.
