Mrs. Caroline Tessmer
Mrs. Caroline Tessmer, 90 years old, widow of the late Charles Tessmer, died early today at her home at 921 Packard St., following an illness of several months.
She was born Dec. 4, 1848, in Germany, and she came to this country with her husband at the time of their marriage, May 17, 1867. Mr. Tessmer died Aug. 14, 1898. She was a member of Bethlehem church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William Clancy and Mrs. Charles Schroeder, both of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Nathan Duffy, of Detroit; three sons, Edward, Oscar and Albert Tessmer, all of this city; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the residence, Rev. Theodore R. Schmale officiating and interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the residence.
