Illness Fatal To Mrs. Fred Hadley
Mrs. Fred A. Hadley, socially prominent, died yesterday afternoon at her home at 1120 Martin Pl., after an illness of several months. Her death occurred on her twenty-seventh wedding anniversary.
Before her marriage April 3, 1912, to Mr. Hadley, she was Vera Brewer, a daughter of a pioneer Jackson county family. She was born June 6, 1891, in Parma. Mr. and Mrs. Hadley moved to Ann Arbor 15 years ago from Morenci.
Mrs. Hadley was a member of the Twentieth Century Club, the Alpha Phi Mothers Club and of St. Andrew's Episcopal church. She also formerly was active in the King's Daughters.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Miss Josephine Sedgwick Hadley of New York City and Miss Patricia Churchill Hadley of Ann Arbor, a student in the University; and a brother, Roy Brewer of Parma.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in St. Andrew's Episcopal church. Rev. Henry Lewis will officiate and burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Staffan funeral home until 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
