Miss Finlayson And Mr. Bohon Are Married

Attended by her sister as maid of honor, and with her younger sister as pianist, Miss Joyce Louise Finlayson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Finlayson of Lincoln Ave., spoke her marriage vows Saturday afternoon to Ellis G. Bohon of Chicago, son of Dr. and Mrs. H. W. McKim of LaBelle, Mo. The ceremony took place at 4:30 in the Louis Vance rooms of the First Presbyterian church, with Dr. William P. Lemon officiating.

White flowers were placed on the mantel before which the bridal party stood, and garlands of huckleberry foliage were arranged over the fireplace and on the tall candelabra holding lighted white tapers. The bride wore a frock of shell pink starched lace with a Mary of Scotland collar. With this she had a bonnet of matching tulle and she carried cream roses and white snapdragons.

Her sister, Judith Ann, was her only attendant. She wore a simple frock of blue chiffon with a matching hat and carried a bouquet of peach-colored flowers. Their sister, Jeanne Tertia, who played the bridal music, wore orchid organdy and a shoulder corsage of white carnations.

Mr. Bohon was attended by Clyde LaRue of Chicago who performed the duties of best man, and two cousins of the bride, William and Edward Lake, of Grass Lake, assisted the guests.

A reception followed the ceremony, Mrs. LaRue presiding at the table on which was used an arrangement of white roses and freesias. About 50 relatives and close friends of the couple attended the ceremony and reception.

Mr. and Mrs. Bohon will live in Chicago where the former is in business as a certified public accountant. He is a graduate of Knox College at Galesburg, Ill., and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. His bride received her master’s degree from University of Iowa and was a member of Chi Omega sorority.
