Dr. Arthur E. Roth, 71 years old, former Ann Arbor resident, died Saturday at his home in Chicago, after an illness of several weeks.
Born in Germany, he came to Ann Arbor with his parents and resided here several years. He had lived in Chicago since 1890. He was a graduate of the University of Chicago medical school. He was a brother of the late Prof. Filibert Roth, of the University forestry faculty, and of the late Mrs. William Arnold, sr., of this city.
Dr. Roth was an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist and had practiced in Chicago for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Selma; and several nephews and nieces, including Mrs. Orlan W. Boston and Emil and William Arnold of this city.
The body will be brought to Ann Arbor tonight and friends may call tonight at the Muehlig chapel. Funeral services were held this morning in Chicago and a burial service will be held at the grave in Forest Hill cemetery at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning.
