Former Saline Supervisor Dies
Long Illness Is Fatal To Austin Robison
SALINE - Austin Samuel Robison, prominent Saline township farmer and formerly a member of the Washtenaw County Board of Supervisors for 14 years, died late yesterday at his home at 11700 Macon Rd., southwest of this city. He was 72 years old.
Mr. Robison, a lifelong resident of Saline township, represented his district on the county board for 14 terms, retiring from office a year ago. He suffered a stroke April 14, 1938 and had not been in good health since then.
He was born July 10, 1867, at Rawsonville, the son of Edward and Hannah Newcomb Robison. He was married Oct. 21, 1895 to Sarah Young.
He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Harvey Ellis of Saline, Mrs. Clarence Derr of Roseville and Miss Adelia Robison, at home; three sons, Duncan and Manley Robison of Saline township and Leslie Robison at home; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lettie Blair of St. Paul, Neb.; and a brother, Micah Robison of Saline township.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the residence, Rev. Roy Miller officiating, and interment will be in the Macon cemetery.
