Dentist Heads Kiwanis Club
Dr. Russell MacKenzie Elected President
Dr. Russell MacKenzie, a dentist, was elected president of the Ann Arbor Kiwanis Club, succeeding Harold J. Barnum, at the club's luncheon meeting yesterday at the Michigan Union.
Dr. MacKenzie, whose home is at 1215 W. Stadium Blvd., formerly was director of the dental department at the Ypsilanti State hospital.
Other officers elected yesterday were: Nicholas Prakken, vice-president; Calvin A. Wolf, treasurer; and Horace W. Campbell, William M. Laird and Oscar L. Naugle, new members of the board of directors. Other board members are: Herbert B. Beisiegel, Charles Gregory, James J. O'Kane and O. E. Roszel. The new officers will be installed at the first meeting in January, and the secretary will be appointed by the board.
The annual card party of the club, one of the three major projects to raise funds for the crippled children’s program, will be held at 8 o’clock Wednesday night. Nov. 27, at the Michigan Union. The other projects are the newspaper sale and the rummage sale. The club hopes to raise $500 from the bridge party. Tickets are available from all members of the club.
