Mrs. Martha Banfield

Mrs. Martha Banfield, 87 years old, widow of Willard S. Banfield, and a former Ann Arbor resident, died Monday night in Detroit, where she had lived for five years.
She was born April 16, 1853, in New York state, and had lived in Ann Arbor for 50 years. For the last five years she had made her home in Detroit with her daughter, Miss Lois Banfield, a teacher in the Redford schools. They lived at 2208 Litchfield in Detroit.
She is survived by her daughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Muehlig chapel, where friends may call. Rev. Frederick Leech will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
