Miss Elaine M. Wood, Ann Arbor senior in the University literary college, will reign as "Miss Collegiate Aviation" at the National Intercollegiate Flying club meet at Middletown, O., next week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The University's only coed of her class to qualify for a private pilot license learned by wire last night that she had been selected from 50 competitors for the title. She is a member of the University Flying club which will be defending its national championship at next week's meet.
At least 20 of the club's 40 members are expected to journey to Middletown to defend the title which the club won at last year's meet.
Miss Wood, who lives at 1334 Hutchins Ave., hopes to become an airline stewardess.
