Permit Sought For Radio Station Here
Application has been made to the Federal Communications Commission by the.-Washtenaw Broadcasting Co. Inc., for a permit to construct a new radio station at Ann Arbor, it was announced in Washington today.
The application said the station would operate unlimited time on 1050 kilocycles with a power of 1,000 watts, if the permit is granted.
The Washtenaw Broadcasting Co. was incorporated by Paul G. Greene, Whitmore Lake contractor; Arthur E. Greene, of Greene's Cleaners & Dyers; and Edward F. Baughn,*of Sylvan Village, Pontiac.
The incorporators plan to take up all of the $35,000 common stock if the FCC grants the firm a station license, they have announced.
