Golds Is Called To Active Duty: Reports Monday At Detroit Naval Headquarters

GOES TO NAVY: Harold D. Golds, secretary of the city draft board and an Ann Arbor attorney for the last 12 years, has been called to active duty in the navy. He will leave Monday for Detroit, but will maintain his residence and office here.

Reports Monday At Detroit Naval Headquarters

Harold D. Golds, Ann Arbor attorney and secretary of selective service board No. 1 of Washtenaw county, has been called to active duty in the United States navy. He will leave Monday for naval headquarters in Detroit, where he has been assigned.

Mr. Golds served in the marine corps during the first World war and since has been on the retired list in the marine corps reserve. He was transferred to the naval reserve and called to active duty in that unit, where he will have the rank of lieutenant.

Mr. Golds said he will maintain his residence in Ann Arbor and also his office and association with Attorney Albert Blashfield. Mr. Golds has practiced law in the city for the last 12 years.

He is a graduate of the University literary college here and the University of Detroit law school. Mr. Golds is a director of the Chamber of Commerce, a past commander of the American Legion post, and a former exalted ruler of the Elks lodge.
