Ashes Of Lt. Taylor Will Be Dropped Over Home By Army Plane
Ashes of the body of Lt. Marvin Reid Taylor, Army pilot-instructor who was killed Friday in a mid-air collision at Greenville, Miss., will be dropped over his home here by an Army plane late Wednesday forenoon following funeral services tomorrow afternoon.
Lt. Lester R. Hano, who accompanied Lt. Taylor's body to Ann Arbor from Greenville as an honor guard, has arranged for a Selfridge Field plane for the ceremony. An Army bugler will play taps at the Taylor residence, 1520 Broadway, as the ashes are spread.
The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in St. Andrew's Episcopal church. Dr. Henry Lewis will officiate.
Lt. Taylor was one of four Army airmen killed in a collision of two training planes at the Greenville flying school. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy O. Taylor, and on May 31 was married to Mary Ellen Nordstrom of Chicago. He was 24 years old.
