SALINE - Mrs. Lillian Estella Smith, 77 years old, died at the Saline Nursing Home Saturday afternoon. She had made her home with a son, Charles Applegate, Milan, for several years.
Mrs. Smith was born in Monroe county April 21, 1866, and had been a resident of Saline and Milan areas since 1906.
She is survived by four sons, Thomas E. Applegate, Ann Arbor; Walter J. Applegate, Petersburg; Clarence J. Applegate, Toledo, O., and Charles, Milan; a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Rhoda, Corning, N. Y.; a brother, Grant Harding, Toledo; 30 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Lockwood funeral home at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in York cemetery and friends may call at the funeral home.
