Fred E. White
YPSILANTI ̶ Fred E. White, 74 years old, native and life-long resident of this vicinity, died in his sleep Sunday morning at his home, 502 Ferris St., following a long illness with heart disease.
He was born Dec. 23, 1868, in Pittsfield township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel White, and on Sept. 3, 1912, married Miss Nellie Sherwood, of this city. He was widely known throughout Ypsilanti and the surrounding country as a carpenter and painter.
Surviving are his widow; one son, Sherwood White, Ypsilanti; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank M. White, Pittsfield township; and Minor E. White, Highland Park.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday at the Moore funeral home here, with Rev. Walter B. Heyler officiating. Burial will be in the Stony Creek cemetery, six miles south of here.
Friends may call at the funeral home, and are asked to omit flowers.
