Now At Sea
Lawrence C. Leever (above), former Ann Arbor businessman and police commissioner who has been on active duty as a Naval Reserve officer since 1935, is now at sea with the Atlantic fleet. A veteran of the First World War, he was promoted to commander last August while on the staff of the Abbot Hall midshipman's school at Northwestern University. Comm. Leever's wife, Edna M. Leever, and their five-months-old daughter, Laurie Ann, moved here from Evanston, Ill., residing at 2116 Abbott Ave., after he was called to sea duty a month ago.
