Mrs. Clara A. Knight
Mrs. Clara A. Knight, 79, wife of Charles P. Knight, died Friday afternoon at her home, 1216 White St., following a long illness.
She was born Dec. 12, 1864, in Scio township, the daughter of Edward and Charlotte Moore. She was a life-long resident of Washtenaw county and had made her home in Ann Arbor for the past 22 years. She was a member of the Pittsfield Union Grange and the Phoebe Beal circle of the King’s Daughters.
She was married to Mr. Knight on Dec. 26, 1888.
She is survived by her husband and by four daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Harriett Williams, Mrs. Edith Behringer, Mrs. Frank Heusel, and Mrs. Elbert Payne, all of Ann Arbor. The sons are Edward C. Knight of Port Huron and Raymond C. Knight of Ann Arbor. There are 15 grandchildren surviving her.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Monday afternoon at the Muehlig funeral chapel. Rev. Ralph Dunlop will officiate and burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
