A. L. Stickney, former executive secretary of the Columbia Parkway branch of the YMCA in Cincinnati, has been appointed the new general secretary of the Ann Arbor YMCA, it has been announced. Mr. Stickney is a graduate of Hillsdale College.

A. L. Stickney Will Be General Secretary

A. L. Stickney, former executive secretary of the Columbia Parkway branch of the YMCA in Cincinnati, has been appointed the new general secretary of the Ann Arbor YMCA, if has been announced by Franklin C. Forsythe, president of the board of directors.

Mr. Stickney’s duties in Ann Arbor will be the direction and supervision of the administration and program of the local YMCA.

Before going to Cincinnati, Mr. Stickney held the position of executive secretary of the Genesee county branch of the YMCA, with headquarters in Flint, and also served as program director for the Flint association. Mr. Stickney has also worked as associate boy’s work director at the YMCA at Dayton, Ohio.

He is a graduate of Hillsdale College where he was active in football, basketball and tennis, and where he served as president of his sophomore and senior class, and of the YMCA and the H Club.

He was accompanied to Ann Arbor by his wife and two children.
