David G. Sloss
David G. Sloss, 65, died yesterday afternoon in St. Joseph's Mercy hospital after an illness of a week.
Born Jan. 6, 1878, in Wayne county, Mr. Sloss was a resident of Saline for 20 years, coming to Ann Arbor a year ago to live at 206 Crest Ave.
Married to the former Bertha Brainard, his wife died in April of 1938.
He is survived by one son, Thomas Sloss, Ann Arbor, four daughters, Miss Florence Sloss and Miss Meota Sloss, both of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Harry Barker, Brighton, Mrs. Earl Christopher, Saline, three grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. William Higgs, Inkster, and two step-brothers, John Higgs, Wayne, and William Higgs, Inkster.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon, in the Muehlig chapel, Rev. Bertrand Ede officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood cemetery, Saline. Friends may call at the chapel.
