Edwin Platt Rorison

YPSILANTI - Edwin Platt Rorison, 84 years old, 412 N. Washington St., Ypsilanti, died at 9:30 last night in the Beyer Memorial hospital here after an illness of less than a week.
He was born Sept. 22, 1859, at Platt, a son of Edwin P. and Susan Platt Rorison, spent his early life in this vicinity, and then for many years lived in Vancouver, Wash., where he married and raised a family. Following the death of his wife he returned to Ypsilanti, and later remarried.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Mrs. O. R. Slauson and Wilfred Rorison, both of Vancouver, and several step-sons and step-daughters, children of his second wife.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the Moore funeral home here, with Rev. Raymon B. Bair officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery, this city.
