YPSILANTI - Mrs. Mabel Elizabeth Wilbur, 52 years old, wife of A. Lee Wilbur, 4361 N. Prospect Rd., Ypsilanti, died last night at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, following an illness of one day. She had been in poor health for the past year.
She was born Aug. 19, 1891, in St. Cloud, Minn., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Casey, and was married to Mr. Wilbur in Ypsilanti on Feb. 1, 1925, since which time the couple have made their home here. She was a graduate of the State Normal College here and taught in the schools of Kansas before her marriage.
Surviving are the husband, four sons by a previous marriage, Harold, Raymond and Gaylord Cannon, all of Detroit, and Dean Cannon, Ypsilanti; nine grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Runyon, Mason; Mrs. Carrie Bobst, and Mrs. Vene Davis, both of Almena, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday at the Moore funeral home here, with Rev. William R. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery, this city.
